I just got my shodan. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but I know my senseis are working to get me there. I’m really hoping that somewhere down the line, when I’m more settled that I can open my own dojo, but right now I’m happy working towards this goal—however long it takes, and helping out at my home dojo.
