72 hour gaming session.
We started a AD&D game at lunchtime at school on a Thursday, just before a 3-day weekend. After school we all got together with our freshly made characters (8 of us) at my buddy’s house and settled in for an entire 3-day weekend of gaming.
I usually ran games for my friends, but we thought it would be fun if the 4 of us that were GMs “passed the stick” every couple of hours. Within a single “round” of “passing the stick” it became obvious that the group as a whole preferred that I should run the game “full time.”
Anyway, we made minor concessions for group members leaving to pick up food for the group, but until around Sunday morning no one had fallen asleep. On Sunday evening we promised to continue the game the following weekend, but I went ahead and wrapped up some of the loose ends of the story.
