however; I’ve done this several times. It really works and you can save the money pretty quickly if you make it your goal. I did it the Dave Ramsey way so I only paid the minimum payments on all other bills until I saved the $1000. Recently, I received unexpected money so I was able to pay off a credit card and put $1000 in my emergency fund again. Yesterday, I found a company that will paint my house for less than $2000 so I think I’ll be using my emergency fund for this purpose although, with a house that’s about 20 years old, there are some other none cosmetic things that would be a better idea….we’ll see. One day, I won’t have to whether to stop a leak or increase the value – LOL!!! I promise, one day, I won’t!
