I’m not even all that sure what a backflip is. And my back’s so stiff I struggle to put my underpants on. I think it’s time I admitted that this one ain’t going to happen.

...might help: you need flexibility most of all (and patience too!), and yoga can really make a difference if you commit to it.
Besides, you can never know how far you can actually go, unless you try your best. And, even if it is beyond your reach, training for it can be very good for your fitness level.
Keep me posted: should you succeed, I’ll put it on my list too!!! :)
