What’s the one film you can watch over and over again?

I couldn’t choose between these three:

Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, The Sound of Music or Atonement.

Maxime is back, for now!

Top Secret!

And I always find something new that I had not noticed before, everytime I watch it. :)

Hey, where had you gone?

Hi, had a busy couple of months, couldn’t really get on here much but hopefully i’m back for good :)
How have you been?

Maxime is back, for now!

I’ve been good! Had an awesome three weeks trip in Finland, I’ve been kind of close from you on August 3rd, I spent the afternoon in London with Gemma! :) And then I’ve been busy as well since I came back but things are slowly getting into place now.

Power steering!

Harold and Maude is also one I could watch over and over…

nicolasc is Grinchy... very, very Grinchy. But she dons a hat and plays Santa for Sonny Lou Who anyway.

I'll second Harold and Maude.

Also Young Frankenstein, Cool Hand Luke, La Femme Nikita, Shaun of the Dead. Oh, and since I just mentioned it, I’ll add the Lost Boys. Filmed where I live, BTW

Oh, as was Harold and Maude – two of my favorite films were shot here!

Musicals

That is it. Just as I grow fond of songs, I grow fond of musicals. Other than that, I need about 5 years before I can watch a movie for a second time.

Owning a movie theatre means I have to watch the same few minutes, in the middle, of several films 4 or 5 times a week.

Mother by Albert Brooks. I have seen it so many times!! I wonder if I will get sick of it any time soon.

The Truman Show

is the one that comes to mind, rather oddly for me, because I’m not usually a big fan of anything Jim Carrey. I think it’s the theme of the guy breaking out of his mundane life when everyone in it is determined to keep him there that kind of appeals to me. (Also, there’s that undertone of outwitting Big Brother, and that’s got to be worth cheering for.)

Also, Monty Python’s Life of Brian – in fact, any Monty Python movie – and any of the Airplane movies. Oh yeah, and It’s a Wonderful Life, but only actually at Christmas.

I love the Truman show. (wasn’t a Carrey fan either)

Big Fish, Wizard of Oz, The Moulin Rouge = immediately popped to mind.

Lots

I don’t buy movies unless I know I’ll watch them again and again. I’m a fan of most of the Jane Austen movies (not the Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice though…that was garbage).

I also like: Amelie, Blazing Saddles, The Philadelphia Story, and Uncorked.
