Today is the first day of Ramadan Bayram. But Apart from Arabic culture, in Turkish we call it “Şeker Bayramı” which means “Candy Bayram”. Because all the little kids are given candies and stuff, some pocket money, etc. Also in all houses, unlimited Turkish desserts are being served.

Even tough I am not involved with the Islamic side of this event, we are traditionally gonna spend all our time with family and relatives. Honestly, It can be really boring sometimes, but it is mandatory for me. Because I can only get to see elder members of our family and relatives from Bayram to another Bayram and if I do not visit them and something happens to them, I’d die of guiltiness.

Anyway, mom is calling my name. We have got to visit like at least ten relatives!
