run a half marathon (read all 4 entries…)
The half marathon hates me!

I signed up for the Vancouver in 2007. Wound up with tendonitis and had to stop training a month before.

I suffered a hellish foot break a few months later and was unable to run for the next year.

I signed up for the R&R Seattle half in June of 2009. I trained. I worked my butt off. I had to deal with remnants of the foot injury. I knew I was going to be slow, but was resigned to finish even if I had to crawl. But I didn’t even start. I had food poisoning the night before and was empty and dehydrated and couldn’t start.

I’m going to leave this one on my list, but I’m pushing it down in priority as I’ve now fallen in love with cycling. I tried a 4 mile run last week as a possible start for half marathon training and didn’t enjoy more than a minute of it. I’d much rather be on my bike and not dreading workouts.
