Create a beautiful uplifting morning routine

Oh my, at the moment I don’t have any kind of routine for the morning, I just love my bed and it holds me hostage. I really struggle with the whole morning thing. Ideally, something like this would be a great way to start the day….I’ll write it out and pin it next to my bed…

  • open my eyes and stretch my arms and legs as much as I can
  • smile (ha!)
  • give myself a big morning hug
  • take 5 deep breaths
  • get up by 8am
  • do some gentle shoulder shrugs/neck rotations
  • teensy bit of yoga, 2 sun salutations?
  • shower – sing!
  • use home-made oil (almond oil with tea tree and lavender oil)
  • dress (get nice things ready the night before)
  • glass of warm water with fresh lemon
  • breakfast (porridge with soya milk and chopped dried fruit/seeds or fresh fruit and goats milk yoghurt/seeds)
  • clean and floss my teeth
  • blow a kiss in the mirror!
  • start my day
