I’m sorry to hear you were so ill, that’s horrible! Its good that you’ve recovered, I hope you’ll take it slow and build your strength back gradually. Parasitic infections are such a hard blow to the body…a friend of mine runs a orphanage in Rwanda, and she’s encountered several, and each time she’s wiped out for weeks. You’re fortunate it wasn’t worse, and coupled with H1N1 and food poisoning, I cannot imagine how many gods are smiling upon you, that you are still functioning this soon.

I’m well, just not riding as much either. My focus this year has been fully strengthening that knee, getting the weight down, and getting fully fit. I’m almost where I need to be, but not quite. Anyway, as a result of all that, my speed is non existent and my mileage was under 1500 miles this year. A sad disappointment, but necessary. Did manage to start a group focused on getting injured veterans interested in riding bikes that are adapted to their specific physical needs, and have been riding regularly with them.

Life is good, just different.
