I got an offer for a credit card in the mail yesterday so I decided to check my credit score and I discovered it was 706. I’m just so happy. It went from 525 and lower to now 706. It’s been about a year since I last checked the score. I didn’t think I could get it that high. So now I would like to get it even higher. It’s good to see my effort, education and determination are paying off. What helped me raise the score was paying off and settling any old debt, paying my car note off, paying my student loans on time and getting a secured credit card which I use every month to donate to Feeding America and pay it off in full monthly.
