We’ve been dating for a year and I realized now that I just started to get to know him and our goals in life are too different. He still lives with his parents and plans to stay living in that same house after his parents die. He wants to get marry and for me to move into that house. Also he’s 17 years older than me and though I thought we were alike, we barely share interests.

I want to break up with him, but he is too attached and I’d feel bad to leave him when he’s dad is dying from cancer. I want to be there for him as a friend, but he refuses to have me only as a friend. I have to do it!!!!!!!

I know it is tough to brak up with someone but i mean a relationship isnt a relationship unless…..you both are happy with being with one another this guy sounds preety good but its really up to you btiu knowin ga gut that already has his future plans out is preety rare….I should say your preety lucky i used to be engaged with someone that was thirteen years older then i was well im 15 and we still are even though we have been through some bad times i still love him because were so attached and webe been together for only 9 months … but you know he will always stand by my side so i kinda know how this feels…..
