LittleButton Loves her husband

read all of Stephen King's books (read all 12 entries…)

Just finished “Needful Things.” Not bad, but I am getting a little tired of King blowing up/burning down towns and/or homes at the end of his books. It’s starting to get a little old (Carrie?, ‘Salem’s Lot?, The Shining?, Firestarter?, Roadwork?, It?, The Tommyknockers? I could go on). Enough already. I’d prefer a little more originality.

I am reading all his books right now, too.

I highly recommend reading them in the order he wrote them. There are a lot of references to past books. I skipped Nightmares and Dreamscapes, because it was a very long book with tiny littel print and I didn’t want to be tied down that long. I also skipped all of the Dark Tower series … I plan on reading them last.

Have fun!!!

I am reading them in order, too, based on the timeline on Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_King_bibliography

I’m doing The Dark Tower series as I go, since there are a lot of tie-ins with all the other books, and I’m afraid if I wait I’ll miss most of them.

I don’t think Nightmares is particularly longer than any of his other books. Also, it is a short-story collection, and there’s no reason why it two books can’t be read concurrently. I did that with a couple – read two at once.
