Sitting on the
porch half drunk

..long day.

Not unhappy with
my answers to
pressing questions.

I have a visa to
stay in Australia
and live there.

But this dripping
of water off slim
leaves has all my
attention now

..because I can’t
believe that what
I most wanted just
happened so quickly.

And so I sit here
happy and numb but
mostly happy.

I would imagine that finally getting what you wanted so badly after all this time would leave you in almost a state of shock, happy, relieved, but almost dumbfounded.
