We play Farmville on Facebook, oh yes we do. A bit compulsively.

He went through a long stage where he wanted things to be orderly and the crops in a nice line or patch. And he wanted our fields to have little paths between them. Well, I made that happen (and boy was that a much huger project than anticipated!)and he’s been a new, more visionary farmer ever since. Now he’s all about making patterns: diagonals, plus signs, even checkerboards. And he doesn’t like me to look, wants to surprise me, even though the reveal is really just a bunch of different seeds.

Today he takes the mouse and says, “Mommy, don’t look.”, I cover my eyes, “I have an evil plan!”
