My friends and I have made this a tradition. Exactly a week after school is out, we gather up every single scrap of school paper, and toss it into a big bonfire. Then, after it’s all burning, we cook burgers on it. After the flame dies down, we spread the ashes onto plants and stuff, so that the schoolwork will benefit at least one thing. We always save a bit of the ashes, and add it to a jar labeled grandma. Every year, someone else gets the jar.
