My big white cat Sammy has passed away. I have posted many photos of him on 43t and written about his antics. He was a very sweet and well behaved cat. I am going to miss him terribly.

I can talk about it a bit more now. He was not sick at all.
And this is what happened:
I had gone to Savannah for the weekend and took the Monday off. I came home Sun night and all was fine. Monday morning was normal. I brushed Sammy, he ate and he jumped up in the window and was talking alot. Just normal behavior.
I went into my bedroom to unpack and I heard a scream….painful story short, he died in that minute and the vet said he had a massive heartattack. She said he felt very little pain. She said because of his age (13) and size (his length not weight) this was common and he had no other illness as she could note from her examination.
I have never lost a pet that way and I have never heard of anyone losing a cat that way.
I am enjoying my memories of him and trying to shower my other children with attention and love.

How awful! :(

I had a cat once who died suddenly. I found her outside. It looked as if she just fell on her side while walking somewhere. I never did find out the cause, but it was just an awful shock.

I hope Charlie is taking extra good care of you.

Charles is keenly aware of what is going on and surprisingly, Oliver Twist is as well. I don’t want to take them for granted at all and I am spending more time with them than I ever have.
