Greengrocer is fine, butcher is great. I tried a new baker’s today: pleasant, with adequate bread and good croissants.

What I can’t get: cheese, booze, coffee, chocolate.

It’s an excuse for a trip to London!

Found some local mould-ripened unpasteurised farmhouse cheese in the deli. It was slightly cheaper than a return ticket to The Smoke ;)

Also found Freetrade 71% chocolate (a bit sweet but not bad).

Am approaching zero coffee status.

Great ideas. I’ve made lager before in one of the stone sheds – perfect temperature in winter, as I recall. Made cottage cheese once, too.

No farmer’s market, alas, but there’s a wine merchant 7 miles away and perhaps I can get coffee nearby. I’ll try that next weekend.
