decorate my apartment (read all 5 entries…)

Well, it took me “a little” while but anyway. My apartment has been ready for months already, I just never got around taking pictures and I knew that had I marked this goal done when I was actually finished, I never would have gotten around photographing anything. These photos aren’t the best around and I got a bit carried away with an image editor (PhotoScape!) so the images are a bit random.

these are actually gift-wrappings but also useable as posters!

okay, so I love Audrey Hepburn. And black and white postcards in general!

this one has been shown before, but I’m very proud of what I’ve done!

I can’t keep flowers alive (not even cacti, I’ve tried!), so plastic ones are my only option :D

I was surprised to see

that you mostly just posted photos of your walls and not really the flat itself. :D Like furniture and stuff. I feel so proviliged now to know how it all looks, haha!

Oh, and regarding the conversation between you and Tiina – we most definitely need to make that Helsinki get-together happen asap! I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately, actually. Any chances of us pulling it off still this year or do we need to wait til 2010? What do you guys think?

but then I thought that it’d actually be really weird, and quite frankly I don’t want pictures of my apartment floating around the internet. ;)
Haha, thanks, glad you think so! :D

Hmm, this month isn’t doable anymore, and I’ll be away in the beginning of December and after that I probably have to work a lot. Then A comes on the 28th of December and stays till the 7th of January. Depending what kind of shifts I have in the middle of December, it could be fun to have some sort of a pre-Christmas party, me thinks…? Or then we just need to wait till next year. :D

Yeah, that’s understandable. :)
The photos look amazing, btw! I wish I knew how to fiddle with photos like that, too.

Okay, we’ll see how it works out. I guess it’s quite possible that we have to wait til next year, to get everyone’s timetables to match.

It’s not that hard, to be honest. Google and download “PhotoScape” (it’s free), all you need to do is push buttons to edit photos. In no time you’ll be at least ten times better than me. ;)

Very Cool Apt!

You’ve done a great job – it’s very esthetically pleasing & seems to reflect your personality & things that are meaningful to you.

On the plant front, have you ever tried those big green bamboo plants (sold in flower shops, just a stick basicaly w a new shoot growing out). Those are AMAZINGLY hardy – just put in water in a vase, they need very little light & dont need watering (refill or change the vase every once in a while).

Everyone who has seen my apartment has said the same thing – that it looks very “me”. :)

My mother used to have a bamboo, and although they are very resilient, I haven’t ever really warmed up to them for some reason. Besides, I’m quite happy with my plastic flowers anyway. :D
