it’s not like any tv sitcom, it’s like transplanting the nervy woody allen in alaska and humanizing him. for those who don’t remember, northern exposure was a sitcom back in the 80s. it was philosophical, enlightening and funny. it is for people who find any type of people genuinely interesting. i remember feeling peaceful whenever i watched it. for just one hour, it provided one clean, healthy break from city living.
