This is the first V. I Warshawski book, I really enjoyed it! This book was written almost thirty years ago, before cell phones, and computers. Just a good old fashioned private detective story. I know that Paretsky is still writing V.I. Warshawski books, I want to read them all and see how she brings the character along as the years go by.

So Glad that I started this series with the first one! I’ve ordered the second one on Paperback swap, and have a couple others on hand here.
