I’ve just read this book. It was okay, not as gripping as the book i’d previously read, ‘Linden Hills’, which was brilliant – but then i’m slightly biased as Gloria Naylor is my favourite author (her books are magical – read ‘Mama Day’ if you have the time, you wont regret it). So ‘Molly Fox’s Birthday’, what can I say about it, it’s about people and relationships and is told purely from the viewpoint of a playwright who I don’t think I ever found out the name of. Oh and it started with a dream and ended with a hedgehog. Anyway, that’s one ticked off my list. Onward!
