I toughed it out and didn’t buy any new books and magazines for six months (actually I think it was a little longer than that). It wasn’t that I’m against reading, I love it, but I had run out of shelf space entirely and had many shelves holding double rows of books. I’ve managed to read and donate about 35 books that I had owned, but that hasn’t made that much of a difference, but I have realized I must be choosier about what I buy, and that I need to have a place for whatever I buy.
