Killing Two Goals With One Entry

Here’s my “Measurable and Specific” spin on my “Lose Weight” goal:

The Plan: Stick to my 1200 calories/day Nutrisystem diet. Since I exercise a lot, a Nutrisystem counselor advised me to toss in another protein and maybe another fruit serving. Maybe I’ll eat another one of their packaged dinners for lunch? For some reason, I have about three boxes worth left over from previous months. Hopefully, my amazing weight loss won’t be due to food poisoning. For some bizarre reason, Nutrisystem doesn’t put expiration dates on their boxes.

Time Estimate: I think one to two pounds per week is pretty doable. Embracing my exciting new over promise and under deliver philosophy, I plan to lose a pound/week, four pounds/month, for a grand total of 24 pounds lost over the next six months. Hopefully, that will work out as well as it sounds.

Budget: The Nutrisystem women’s plan is setting me back $268/month not including dairy, fruit, vegetables, and the occasional bit of bread. Oh well, I gotta eat.

Deadline: July 2, 2010

Reward: Not being fat sounds pretty good. Maybe something more? I’ll put my greedy little brain to work on it.
