Well, it was a long conversation. She told me my work is excellent and I shouldn’t be as nervous as I am about defending my thesis. She told me that a few years ago, when I was just beginning my research project, and I had a chance to talk to this internationally famous, highly renowned (I hope that’s a word, hehehe) professor and researcher who was visiting our university, he later told her he was impressed and that my work was WAY better than his own advisees’. She said his comment was no surprise to her. Both this professor and my advisor are well-known and respected in our field of study. She didn’t have to tell me that, but I’m glad she did.
