Curry and cinnamon, that’s the key. Oh, the right amount of olive oil doesn’t hurt, either.
Comments:
the apopcolypse
This country was founded on popcorn with just two ingredients: butter and salt.
You’re unorthodox recipe undermines the foundation of traditional stove-top popcorn!
Of course, to determine if it’s truly a threat to society I will have to sample it myself and report back.
Ok, I am unorthodox-popcorn-curious.
Ha!
I can’t believe you wrote “apopcolypse.”
Besides, I’m the threat to society, not the popcorn, James.
I’m not sure that I can associate with someone who’s openly u-p-c. It would ruin my repuation as a genuine badass and a lady.
But, butter and salt be damned! There is one place where my passion whould never be confined: the kitchen. However, it should always be observed that cooking is to art as baking is to chemistry…right, James?
Just made some the traditional way...
...and it tasted stale within 10 minutes!
The idea of putting corn oil at the bottom of the pot made me shiver as did the tablespoon or two of vegan butter I put on it once done.
Methinks me must go back to Orville.
I may be trying this vegan thing but I realize that I’m not as “Hippy Dippy” as I thought.
As to the curry… and… cinnamon? Wow. I’ve never put those two spices together and I’m from the West Indies (we love de spices, mon). Unorthodox is not the word.
But if you like it then don’t let me rock your boat :-)
