Last night my husband and I had another fight- not physical but emotionally jarring. He basically told me that I am not good looking any more and that I am lazy and depressed and he is sick of me. It hurt a lot to hear this from someone who says he loves me. We don’t have a marriage made in heaven and this is basically the last straw for me. Unfortunately, we have been together almost 16 years and are the parents of 3 girls. I have always been scared to leave him because I don’t have any financial independence and I am not currently working. The thought of starting over on my own in my forties is frightening and exciting. I know it won’t be easy but I am willing to give it a try.
