Evolve discreetly into a 1950s domestic goddess
a plan

I’ve started reading a book that will help with this goal: The Busy Mom’s Guide to a Happy, Organized Home by Kathy Peel

One part of her plan is to manage your time based on 7 categories. Set priorities for each category by listing one or two accomplishments in each area that would give you the most satisfaction.

Here’s my list:
TIME & SCHEDULING – Create and stick to routines that will keep everything flowing.
HOME & PROPERTY – Put together a warm living environment that is easy to keep uncluttered.
FOOD – Maintain a consistent schedule of cooking. Focus more on healthy, fresh foods.
FRIENDS & FAMILY – Practice good habits of keeping in touch with those far and near. Connect with new friends here (in my new city) within and outside of the Ds community.
FINANCES – Follow a budget, pay all bills on time, and build savings.
SPECIAL EVENTS – Take time to enjoy and mingle at special events (parties, holidays) while experimenting with new creations/ideas (if I am the hostess).
SELF-MANAGEMENT – Establish routines for grooming and down time so I feel better about myself physically. Explore spirituality and my desire to write.
