This is the way. Even though there are good things about digital photography this is really fun. First you buy a scanner for the same price as a compact digital camera. After that, you’re free to buy any used 35mm film camera on eBay. If you develop your own B&W film, it will never get expensive. After that you spend money on what really matters in photography, the lenses! I’ve learned a lot using a manual focus camera for the last half year. My next goal is to buy a medium format camera and try that out.
