you’ve got the right idea mate! I’m thinking of doing the same thing…i’m sick and tired of being a drone…finishing uni and going to work in an office. I want to travel. I like the idea of just going, and driving randomly! :D. Any ideas on what you’re going to do car wise? I’m looking for some ideas – eg u hiring a car or buying? I was thinking of hiring but I was advised to buy in east coast then sell it when I move on.

Do you have any ideas of things you’d like to see along the way? Or are you totally winging it? I’m planning a solo cross country road trip later this year too, but I think I might do an out-and-back trip (yes, I’m crazy!), taking a more northern route from east to west, and a more southern route back to the east coast. I’m working on a list of places I absolutely must check out along the way. I’ve visited a lot of the desert southwest a bunch of times, so I don’t feel like I need to see that as much as some of the other areas of the country.

Have you traveled in the US at all before? There really are some places that it would be a shame to miss while you’re here!
