You don’t need to be super-aggressive. Just strike up a conversation, get the ball rolling, and see what happens. If she’s interested too, then it shouldn’t be too hard.

And hey, if this is all happening in some kind of queer space you might not even have to work that hard… maybe they’ll come to you. But will it be the girl you were eyeing from across the room, or will you have to go after her? I’m sure once you dip your toes back into ladies’ scene, you’ll feel more confident pretty quickly.
