Go back to Ireland
Used to live in Galway

I used to live in Galway, and it was the most amazing experience of my entire life. I want to go back there SO BADLY! It is a stunning, amazing, gorgeous city and I LOVED IT!

Comments:

Galway is amazing! I’ve visited only twice, and I even miss it. Lucky you having lived there once. I’ve been thinking lately if I ever move to another country it’d probably be Ireland.

Definitely!

I really loved Ireland, it was just such a great place! Have you been to Dublin, or travelled anywhere else in Ireland? I would definitely suggest it! I know that around this time, Jan-March Aer Lingus has some pretty good deals! :-)

yep,

I’ve been to dublin twice. My first time over I was only there for a weekend. This last time I was there for 5 days. I adore Dublin. Felt really at home there. This last time I was in Ireland I was there for about 3 weeks. That was just in September. I was in Galway for most of the time (took some day long bus tours from there to other places), but went out to the aran islands for a few days, and also spent a night in Limerick and a night in Oughterard. My first time in Irleand I was there two weeks and stayed with my then boyfriend, who is now just my friend, in Galway. We did drive down to Blarney castle then. I really want to get back again and see lots of the Cork coast, and also would love to spend some time on the Dingle pennisula, and I want to go up north too. I could just keep going back! I wouldn’t at all mind more time in galway or the aran islands or dublin. Don’t think I could ever feel like I’ve experienced all of Ireland or feel tried of it.
They do have good deals this time of year, but since I was there only a few months ago, it’ll probably be awhile till I get back. Would love to maybe go next winter for just a few days. But don’t know if I’ll be able to that soon.
how long did you get to live over there?

I lived there for about a year and a half. I was studying at University College, Galway at the time. I was able to travel around Ireland a little during the weekend and holidays but I completely agree with you, I don’t think I have really experienced Ireland FULLY. I went to Belfast and Derry and I loved it, it was different than Galway or Cork or Dublin. What a GREAT country, the people were SO nice, the country was GORGEOUS. I am getting nostalgic. I wish I was there!

I know what you mean. I lived in Galway too and I’m still “homesick” after eight years. Will hopefully get back sometime next year.

bluecatfalling has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
