I have a standing invitation to visit Trimble Gilbert, Gwich’in tribal elder, Episcopal priest, fiddler extraordinaire, & defender of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Trimble is about the realest person you could ever meet, & the deepest. I look forward to seeing him on his beloved home turf!

BTW, whenever you get a chance, tell your senators & member of Congress NOT to allow drilling in the ANWR. Provisions for drilling have been approved within a budget bill, so let’s be extra-vigilant to prevent it from actually happening.

no moving plans

Your experience sounds like quite an adventure!

My plans don’t involve moving there, just visiting. I’m really looking forward to it—but at this point in my life my body definitely gravitates more toward warmth & long days than toward cold.
