I acted on a few school plays when I was in college. Acting was my passion then and I really miss it. I always have the thought of acting again at the back of my mind, but feel that I am rusty and would not stand a chance.
One day, I got an email from our community theatre regarding open auditions and I decided to give it a try! I don’t know what got into me, but I woke up that day feeling like I can conquer the world.
The audition went okay, I thought :) I was really nervous, but the moment I stepped on stage – all the fear went away. It would be amazing if I got cast (won’t know the results until next week), but I’m honestly just really happy that I got over my fear and decided to give acting another try.
So to those who are considering auditioning for a play, I wish you the best of luck. Break a leg! :)
