I have a pumpkin vine growing near the back verandah, and instead of taking off out from the verandah, it is cutting across towards behind the carport. looking at the vine it now has a lot of fruit beginning to develop. I’ve had to spread the vine out in such a way now that we can not drive the car through the back section of the carport on one side. But if that means allowing for a good crop of japanese pumpkins – I’m not complaining (there’s still good carport access on the other side and from the front).
