A used prius is great.
In summer of ‘09, after my then-girlfriend had an accident in my ‘97 Saturn, I spent over a week looking at new & used cars. I decided to buy a lovely silver ‘04 Prius. My SL1 got 30/40 city/hwy mpg. My prius gets 40/50 winter/summer. I liked the ‘10s better, but the used car was half the price (and I only had a couple thousand in savings, since I wasn’t expecting to have to replace my car…) Still, I think the ‘04 Prius is better than any of the other hybrids I test-drove, and I completely love it.
(Also, my then-girlfriend is now my wife.)
