I went from a part time content writing job at an ecommerce company to a full time (contract) web dev position at an advertising agency. I did go back to school for a web design certificate, so it didn’t happen over night. I would have gone for a web scripting certificate also, but the college I went to never offered all the classes required for it. Anyways, I started my new job less than 2 weeks ago and I’m already enjoying it. I encourage others to pursue what they enjoy rather than just go for the big bucks.
