Chris Campbell is getting things done.
It’s a long weekend in Canada (Victoria Day) and I took advantage of the weekend by cycling 69 km on Saturday (the most ever for me for a day) and today, Monday, going another 32 km, which resulted in 101 km over the weekend. It was a bit of a challenge on Saturday and I was somewhat sore and slow on Sunday, but today was good and I also had my best average speed, which was just over 20 km/h. This brings the total for the goal up to 218 km, which is just over 20%. It feels good to get outside and take advantage of nice weather and exercise too.
The ride on Saturday was great with a trip out to Blomidon which is a beautiful place along the ocean, so at the half-way mark Carolyn and I were able to walk on the beach as the tide was out. Then it was back on the bikes for the trip back with a detour to get some gelato and then home to rest for a day before the second ride today that put us over the 100km mark.
