Write a book (nonfiction)
The deal is done.

The papers will be signed no later than Monday. I’m writing a book about film and politics. Or actually more about mainstream film as a reflection of society. Or, what do I know – this is no more than a three-page synopsis right now.

My term starts next week, and somehow I’ll have to try to not think about the book for nine weeks, until my mods are over. Then I have about three months of full-time writing. Except, during those three months I’m also taking my vacation, keeping my ordinary freelance job and going to Belgrade for a travel article.

I’m already terrified that I won’t be close to a first draft at the end of those months. Then I’ll be back at Uni with an insane workload, a spent-up advance and no book.

Does it show I’m a first-timer?

Wow, that’s impressive, still being at Uni and all!
