...and most recently this afternoon. I found myself near Bruster’s on this sunny warm afternoon, and decided that if they had pistachio ice cream, I was going to treat myself to a scoop of it. They did, and they even added a little hot fudge sauce for me. Ahhhh, how heavenly. :)
Just last night at the grocery store my hubby and I were at the grocery store looking at the different flavors. He asked if they had pistachio and I couldn’t find it under any brand. He said probably not many people like pistachio. But I really like it and so does he. I bet many people would like it if only they would give it a try. So thank you, Isabella, for giving it a try!

...even at Bruster’s this year, but for me that’s a good thing. Otherwise I might be tempted to eat it too often. :)
I’ve heard that Ben & Jerry’s has a good pistachio ice cream, but I don’t think the grocery stores in my area carry that flavor. Maybe you and Walter could put in a request for it. (I’m afraid that I’m such an ice cream glutton that I try to avoid the ice cream aisle completely in the grocery stores these days.)
Then there’s always the possibility of homemade ice cream….
This past week I was at one of my regular haunts and one of the chef-owners was telling the bar about a dessert he dreamed up but was having a hard time selling. It was pistachio ice cream with a sprinkling of pistachios and shavings of pistachio halvah.
Sold. He was thrilled and we loved it.
