2. A Long Way Down (Nick Hornby)
Though I loved High Fidelity and About a Boy, I thought How to Be Good was a lesser effort by Hornby. Unfortunately, his latest effort, A Long Way Down, continues that trend. Don’t get me wrong, it was a fairly quick and pleasant read and I even laughed aloud a few times, but it felt forced in some areas. It has some redeeming qualities, but just doesn’t have the spark of his earlier works.
