Paint my toenails - any suggestions? (read all 2 entries…)
Yes, I know this seems like a shallow life goal but...

isn’t it the daily living, the little things, that make up life? Somehow I find the little things often symbolize something bigger even if I can’t always pinpoint exactly what that is.

Anyway… I have a deep tan… so I’m not sure what color. And I think to me, getting my hair trimmed, or painting my nails often symbolizes getting back in the game. Getting out there and living… seeing the color in life after a season of grey…. it’s a step in wanting to be a part of the wonderful colorful world again. :)

Toe to Toe

The first colour I thought of was yellow too, but that could be confused for nail fungus. I’m going to suggest a vibrant green or orange.

I must not be very daring....

I don’t even own yellow… let alone green or orange. :)

And here I thought I was daring because I owed red, fuschia/hot pink, deep coral (it’s like a pinky orangy sunset-ish… ok just pretend you get this). :)

But as I need something that will go with black sandals, pink seems a good option – especially as I do have that! :P

A nice light sparkly pink unless someone else comes up with a better color I do have.

hmmm…. thinking of a new 43 things: Get more colors of nailpolish! :)

The coral or the pink sound very pretty.

Maybe for a whimsical color you could add something like purple to your collection. That would look pretty with brown skin.

There is a very fun OPI called Pompei Purple

I think you have to get it on ebay now as it was a color from some time ago, but it is one of my favorite summer colors. It is called “Purple” but it is really kind of a kicky dark pinky color. Very summery!!!

I think I’m debating between that strange purple I have (link above) and the deep red. And we all wonder why I never paint my toenails – it becomes like this mammoth decision. :P lol

But my goal is to get those little toes painted today!!!

this IS a strange rendition of purple. lol But if I picked it once upon a time, it’s only fair that it get used, right?

whew… windows open and still smelling strong. I think I must be one of the few people that doesn’t get happy from the smell! Now I remember why I hardly ever paint mynails – I can’t stand the smell! :)

i love to paint my toe nails

ok if you feel:
(hippnotic) black toenails with white lines
(prepy) pink toenail with purpletips
(mistery) blue stirps across you nails to show some nail

(those are easy to do if you not very good and if you are good at doing your nail ill give you more tips and pics)

Wow...

What awesome ideas!! totally not the norm but not too bizarre either. My nails are currently boasting that “interesting” shade of purple I said I had – Eggplant Everglade. (No Miss Nails I love you guys, but come on, who would wear such a name???) Me apparently. lol

Anyway, I liked your last suggestion the best and will have to try it next month when I paint my nails (yes, I’m not a regular lol) – the stripes letting plain nail show…. very cool idea. I wonder how it will turn out.

I’m not too bad with nails so if you have any other unique ideas… send’em on over.

So was I....

All my stuff is pinks, light pretty feminine shades, and I branched out into deep fuschia and deep red. lol But after this comments, I am thoroughly surprised with what everyone else suggested. Yellows, purples, oranges, and greens seem to be normal now. Although I don’t think pink ever goes out. ;)

Feel free to join me and paint your nails – always makes ya feel a little more sparkly and pretty…. ;) go for the pink!! :D
