go to japan
Living here...

And the culture is completely different from the U.S…in good ways and in bad ways…but mostly good. It’s such a cool experience to live here and note the ways in which the cultures differ…I love it. The language is beautiful, too. It’s nothing like the animé nightmare I was afraid it would be (unfortunately, that’s the side of Japan most people see). It’s a very beautiful, elegant place. People are friendly, traditional, polite…There isn’t much road rage here. That’s a shock! Another shock is how women really protect their skin here and cover up on sunny days. It’s just the opposite of the U.S. I feel weird running out to sun myself when everyone else is wearing sun hats and gloves. In general, everyone seems more calm and laid back. Such a nice change of pace. I’ve been to Japan, Ireland, France, and Germany now. So far, the people in Japan have been the kindest. Every day going out somewhere here is an adventure in culture acclimation. So much fun! Definitely visit! Look up the ‘Let’s Learn Japanese’ language lessons on YouTube before you go…and for fun, do a search on YouTube for Japanese Numbers. The song is addictive. LOL
