a fistful of people I know are getting interviewed, hired, etc. Same age as me (18). and I’m still without employment.

It comes down to effort. I’m just not being persistent. I’ve been doing this stupid passive job hunting lately and I know it’s not getting me anywhere… guess I’m just a little nervous still.
