I just returned from a family reunion in the Philippines. I’d known about this reunion for over a year and I thought having a deadline might spur me to study more intensely, but no such luck. Deadlines can be amazing motivators, but if you’re the only one who knows about them, they’re all too easy to ignore.

The next reunion is tentatively set for 2016. Let’s see if I can do better.
