Do the Elimination diet to find out food allergies
I'm back!

My doctor has me doing this diet to hopefully find a food allergy and I’m feeling the need to vent about how frustrating it is! Better to vent here, than constant whining at home.

I have to avoid wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, citrus, tomatoes, potatoes, peanuts, sugar, alcohol, and pork. It’s only day two and I’m having a hard time with it. Yesterday was so hot, I didn’t want to cook anything, but everything in the house required some cooking, so I just ate a salad. Boring!

On a positive note, the eczema that has been bothering me for years seems to be a little better today. I’m curious to find out what food specifically is causing it.

Welcome Back! :)

Arrrrrgggghhh for you on that diet. It must be quite challenging. Is this supposed to be permanent change or just til they figure out what the allergy is?
I remember a few years ago when I had kidney stones, the doc told me that, to avoid more stones in the future, I would need to eliminate milk, cheese and chocolate from my diet. I said I would see him in a few years when the next kidney stone was ready to come out because no way was I giving up those three things.

Welcome Back

I’ve missed you. That’s great that your eczema is better. Mine actually got worse when I restricted my diet and stopped eating junk food and drinking soda.

Wow!

You should write a diet book! I think the junk food and soda diet would make millions :-)
