A homeless woman has started living on my boyfriend’s doorstep. Long story short: We are struggling with how to be generous toward her without taking on her life/troubles as our responsibility. Currently she’s on a waiting list at a woman’s shelter and we’re being patent and polite as she waits her turn there.
