SorAzure trying not to count the seconds...

reduce my carbon footprint
start with water, electricity and paper use

in the office, we use a lot of paper. sometimes, i think we even use too much for a small office. i can’t help but notice the growing pile of paper in our rough paper bin. piles and piles of fresh paper with useless things printed on it. i’ve decided to use rough paper for things i print out. i work in the reception so i don’t have important documents to print out. but i do maintain office forms and print out the occasional documents i get from the fax. i use rough paper for these things and it has somewhat reduce the use of paper from our office. at least, that’s how it seems to me. im determined to keep it up.

water and electricity are my waterloo. i use too much water in bathing, washing my face and brushing my teeth. probably 80% of the water i use whenever i bath, wash my face and brush my teeth are wasted. im planning to buy a small basin and a plastic cup to use whenever i go to the washroom. i used to watch these korean movies where they fill the sink with water and use it to wash their face. i don’t have much confidence on the cleanliness of our sink here at home. so, i think i’ll stick with the water basin. :-p

electricity, yes, i waste sometimes. no, maybe all the time. like right now, i have the centralized ac on and it’s supposed to be for more than one person. it’s just me and my sister here. okay,. i’ll close the AC now…..

turn off lights when not in use
turn off fans and other appliances when not in use
