I want to do this at the weekend. It has to be a realistic length to get through in one day. Any recommendations?

K-Pax is a great Science Fiction novel, and very engaging. Another good read: One Day in the Life of Ivan Denosovich (sp). Not sure what kind of recomendations you’re looking for, though!
I didn’t want to narrow it down by making stipulations. I’ve just looked up K-Pax on Amazon and a review describes it as: “This gloriously off-beat comedy reads like a combination of ‘Starman’, ‘Oliver Sacks’, and ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest.’” -This makes it sound extremely intriguing and I think I will check it out. Thanks for the pointer. This whole process has also given me an idea for another goal.

Try "Room" By Emma Donoghue
It’s a good read and meant to be read within a short period of time, methinks. I read it within a week with only minutes to a couple of hours dedicated to each session.
Skim reviews, but don’t read too many as it will spoil the book. Unless you’re feeling adventurous and feel like diving into the unknown (sorry, I just listed SCUBA diving as one of my things to do…). :)
That is all.
