It was awesome. When we have time we make all sorts of things, like ginger beer, and fruit cider.

If you’re doing in-bottle fermentation, though, be REALLY careful about the amount of sugar you use. I was not happy when the fruit cider my boyfriend was making exploded all over a room in our house – so hard it actually broke the glass bottles it was in.

Yes! Bottle fermenting is tricky. There are some good books out there that give amounts of sugar, etc so you don’t go overboard like that. Have you seen the homebrewing book by Charlie Papizan? that’s a great one.
