work close to home
Less time wasted on the road

I now work 3.5 miles from where I live!

As a brief history, I used to live 25 miles from work in Los Angeles, moved to Texas and worked 19 miles away (much better traffic) and now have transferred to 3.5 miles away as was my master plan. All this within the same company! It used to take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3.5 hours to commute, now it takes about 5 minutes unless I ride my bike. I work the same amount but get more time to spend with my family and workout.

Yay

I did the same recently – I now live 1.5 miles from work and on a nice day I can walk here across meadows and fields. It’s great!

(Yes… I took the picture on my walk one day)

If the weather is nasty, I jump in the car and it takes 5 minutes.

working close to home

i looooove working close to home!!!
i just did this as well.
4 miles away!
i feel like i have 2 hours of my life back (at least) from fighting all the traffic. plus, aren’t you so much less stressed out and relaxed when you get to work?
all the gas savings.
being able to run errands during your lunch break.
etc…

Ah yes...

Errands. That’s one of my biggest plusses.
